It is with much excitement that we can now announce our coaching group for season 2018.
Next season we are welcoming two new coaches to the junior division, and I would like to make them both extremely welcome and thank them for being willing to volunteer their time.
The first new coach for 2018 will be coaching our first U17 team, and that is Peter Brough. “Broughy” has been working with our senior division now for a number of years, and most recently coached one of our U19 teams. He is in the final stages of his Level 2 Coaching qualifications, and went through an Eastern Region coaching course throughout 2016 which saw him being exposed to a substantial amount of knowledge and getting involved with some professional football organisations. When you add to all of that Broughy’s experience in coaching representative football at an underage level and his extensive exposure to football in Queensland too, we are ecstatic to have him on board and wish him the best of luck.
Our second new coach for 2018 is taking over our U12 boys team, and that is Mark Renshaw. Whilst Mark has been with our club for a number of years now, he also has had extensive exposure to football across many clubs in his history too. Over his journey Mark has been involved in Auskick for nearly a decade as a coach, and played the role of runner and assistant coach of various teams for a number of years too. We are excited to see the continued development of this young group and see where they can head after a very successful 2017.
You will also see that the club still has a couple of teams that we are yet to announce a coach for. If you, or anyone you know may be interested in one of these roles please contact me directly on the below details and we can have a chat.
Speak soon, and bring on 2018!
