PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

MANDATORY & ENFORCEABLE CODES OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS

  • Play by the rules – the rules of your club and the laws of the game
  • You are representing your club. Don’t do anything that will discredit or bring adverse attention to your club
  • Never argue with an umpire or other official – without these people you can’t play football. If you disagree, discuss the matter with your coach.
  • Control your temper -verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players doesn’t help you enjoy or win any games
  • Be a team player – It’s a team game, treat it that way.
  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated -fairly. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player. Without them there is no competition.
  • Co-operate with your coach, the umpires and team-mates.
  • Play for your own enjoyment & to improve your skills.
  • Don’t use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability – you’ll let down your coach, team-mates and family if you do – & many such comments are actually now illegal.
  • Be a Good Sport. Applaud all good plays whether they be by your team, opponent or the other team.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and for your team. Your teams performance will benefit, so will you.
  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated.
  • Play for the fun of it and not just to please parents and coaches
  • Abide by the cubs policies – available at www.ftgeaglesjfc.com.au
  • Never encourage, condone or participate in any activities that may intentionally injure any players/spectators/ officials or damage any club property.
